Last Friday, we had the most wonderful Healthy Cooking class - not only did the students learn how to make several delicious dishes; they were taught by Dr.Ezani, Malaysia's first Masterchef winner!
Students excited to start cooking!
A little bit about our guest chef:- Dr.Ezani is actually a dentist who graduated from Adelaide, Australia. Her love and passion for cooking has encouraged her to audition for Masterchef Malaysia Season 1 in 2011 and eventually was crowned the winner in the competition. Now, Dr.Ezani balances her career with her many culinary adventures...such as cooking demonstrations at awesome schools like Idrissi International School!

Potato Salad
Banana Galette
Year 8 and Year 9 students gathered in the school kitchen lab around 2:30PM and was more than ready to attend the cooking class. The students were arranged into 4 groups, each group with its own task. The girls were in charge of preparing ingredients for the roast chicken and potato salad, while the boys had to prepare the pink salad and banana galette.

By the end of the cooking class, students had the chance to eat and taste their food - the juicy and delicious roasted chicken, the wholesome and creamy potato salad, the unique and yummy pink salad, and the incredibly scrumptious banana galette. Masyaallah, healthy and tasty!

Alhamdulillah, the healthy cooking class went very well. The students had a an educational time in the kitchen - some even learned a thing or two about cutting and baking. Inshaa Allah they can apply what they have learned at home. Who knows, this cooking class may even spark an interest in the students to become a future Masterchef :)
We would like to thank Dr.Ezani for coming to our school and being our special guest. We hope you had a great time with us, we certainly did with you. Thank you very much!
May Allah bless our efforts and deeds.
